The 2025 edition of DucatoPrize presents itself as an open system of Cartesian coordinates in constant repositioning—a geometric structure that continuously recalibrates perspectives and redefines the position of objects in time and space. This shifting grid of axes becomes an analytical tool, capable of identifying and enhancing contemporary artistic individualities.

The Open Call for the new edition of the Prize kicks off from April 2 to May 31. This edition includes the introduction of several new features, including the selection is entrusted to a Pre-Selection Board that involves: Mistura Allison, Caroline Ellen Liou, Ángels Miralda, Amantia Peza, Saverio Verini and a Jury completely renewed, the latter composed of: Andrea Lissoni, Director of the Haus der Kunst, Munich; Adrian Piper, conceptual artist; Danai Giannoglou, co-fuonder and curator of Enterprise Projects, Athens; Emanuela Campoli, founder of Emanuela Campoli Gallery, Paris and Milan; Samuel Leuenberger, curator and founder of SALTS, Basel.

Contemporary

Cash prize 10.000€
This section is open to all artists and collectives, both national and international, with no age restrictions.

Academy

Cash prize 1.000€
This section is open to students and collectives from national and international public and private Academies and Institutes, provided they are regularly enrolled at the time of the call deadline.

Residency Prizes

Residency Prizes will be awarded to several artists selected from among the 40 finalists (Contemporary + Academy). Each Residency Prize will consist of a three- to four-week artistic residency in various locations, both in Italy and abroad.

 
 
Winners’ Announcement

The winners will be announced at the DucatoPrize 2025 exhibition opening, on September 20, 2025, at Palazzo Farnese, Piacenza. The award ceremony will be open to the public, invited guests, and the press.

Exhibition

The exhibition of the ten finalists will open on 20 September and still open until 9 November 2025.
